I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by the rich musical culture of the city, influenced by talented musicians like Leon Russell, David Gates (Bread), J.J. Cale, and Ronnie Dunn. Tulsa itself was a haven for art, artists, and photographers, with galleries and shops along Brookside, Cherry Street, and the Brady Arts District showcasing the diverse works of local talent.

During my college years at the University of Tulsa I indulged my passion for music, playing guitar in a rock band that made a couple of records. Although we never reached the heights of those musicians who left Tulsa for Hollywood seeking fame and fortune, music remained a part of my life, now often enjoyed on the back porch with a glass of whiskey.

Photography entered my life through my father, who introduced me to the art with a Kodak camera and a makeshift darkroom in our basement. The seed was planted then—I knew, somehow, someday, I would take up the camera seriously. Life unfolded with marriage, children, and a career in Business and Sales Management, but my camera often accompanied me through the journey.

Retirement marked a turning point, allowing me to delve into photography with the dedication I had always dreamed of. I earned a certificate in Photography, renewed my skills, started a portraiture studio, ventured into real estate photography, and even became the Director of Education for the Tulsa PHOTOG organization.

So now I want to share some of my work with you in the hope that you will enjoy the vision that I have developed in photography and digital art, and that maybe you will even take a piece of it home if it connects with you----and also share it with others as time goes by. Thank you for visiting me!
