3 Bridges Over Knoxville - Norfolk Bridge/Henley Street Bridge/Gay Street Bridge and Tennessee River
As the autumn sun began to rise over the horizon, I made my way to the Tennessee River in the heart of Knoxville. The air was crisp and cool, and I could feel the dew on the grass beneath my feet. The leaves on the trees had turned a golden yellow, and the smell of woodsmoke hung in the air.
I set up my drone, eager to capture a photograph of the Norfolk Bridge, Henley Street Bridge, and Gay Street Bridge at sunrise. These three bridges had a rich history, each having been built at different times to connect the north and south sides of the city. The Norfolk Bridge was the oldest, having been built in the late 19th century, while the Henley Street Bridge was built in the early 20th century, and the Gay Street Bridge was the most recent addition, having been built in the mid-20th century.
As I lifted the drone into the air, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement coursing through my veins. The view from above was breathtaking, with the Tennessee River sparkling below and the city skyline stretching out in the distance.
I flew down the river, taking in the sights and sounds of the city as it came to life. The hum of cars and the chatter of people filled the air, and the smells of freshly brewed coffee and baking pastries wafted up from the local cafes.
Down and over the Norfolk Bridge, I couldn't help but marvel at its ornate Victorian-style architecture. It was a beautiful, stately structure that had stood the test of time. Next over the Henley Street Bridge, taking in its more modern, yet still elegant design. And finally, I flew under the Gay Street Bridge, its sleek lines and contemporary design standing out against the other two bridges.
Back and forth along the river, I was determined to get the perfect shot. The sun was higher in the sky now, casting a golden glow over everything. I snapped a few photos, capturing the three bridges and the Tennessee River in all their glory.
Finally, as the sun reached its peak, I knew it was time to land the drone and pack up my gear. It had been an incredible experience, one that I knew I would never forget. And as I walked away from the Tennessee River, I knew that I would be back again, eager to capture the beauty of these historic bridges in all their glory.
