Beale Street, Memphis, Tennessee!
This is the most famous street in Memphis and one of the most culturally rich single streets in America.
It was key in the struggle for Civil Rights, and a center of black excellence since the early 1900s.
Many Blues, rock and roll, jazz and soul musicians got their start on Beale Street.
I took this picture on one of the hottest nights of the year in August, as a 30 second, long exposure.
The camera was on a tripod, and people blur out as they walk by!
Anyone walking quickly on the street, completely disappears.
Anyone walking slowly, shows up with a soft, blurry, almost ghost-like appearance!
