Hi, my name is Jamie, and I use my camera to capture beautiful images of Planet Earth. I’ve always been attracted to everything about the ocean. I got my start in photography by taking underwater photos while scuba diving.
For many years, the ocean was my only muse. It was not until just a handful of years ago when my job situation changed, and I found myself with lots of free time, that I began to explore “topside” photography as an additional source of inspiration. I quickly realized I didn’t have to be near or in the ocean to feel at peace. I also began to feel this way when I went camping in the forest.
One day, I was working my new at-home job and noticed how much more productive I was when I could open a door or window in the morning. As someone who lives in the blustery Las Vegas desert, I know these days don’t happen often. So they became essential when they did. Then, I started looking back at my days in the corporate world. I remember decorating my cubicle with pictures of my favorite scenes and begging the office manager for a spot near a window. I was always the type of person who was drawn to the outdoors and worked better near the sunshine. I began to wonder, how many other people were like me? How many people could work better if they felt connected to the outdoors, too?
This was the day I decided to put my photography to work and do everything I could to bring people the peace and serenity of their favorite nature spots no matter where they were in the world. I had no idea how to make this happen yet. I just knew I needed to do it. I also knew my art would need to educate people about the importance of these magical places while giving back to the one place I held dear: the ocean.
So, I set out on a quest to create beautiful works of art from my photographs to share with the world. This artwork would bring people closer to what they love, serve as a vehicle for conservation, and help clean plastic and litter from the sea. I began by traveling to every nearby location I could reach. With my husband, two dogs, and our Airstream, I started with the spots I thought people would love the most, like State and National Parks. Then I continued with places that made my own heart sing, like forests and oceans. I slowly worked my way into the mountains and the deserts, capturing the beauty of the Earth at every turn.
Before long, fate brought me to a coach who would help me start my own little art store on Etsy. He taught me how to talk about my photographs and even how to display them. Within this group, I found many other photographers who were just like me. Some of whom I bonded with instantly and became lifelong friends. These friends showed me how to see even more parts of the world differently and encouraged my views to expand even further. Before long, I couldn’t contain my excitement and branched out to other worldwide markets, like Amazon, to make my art available to folks far beyond my home country. My thought was to be findable and accessible by everyone, no matter who they are or how they shop.
This excitement and passion bring you a budding brand where every work of art tells a story about peace and conservation—intended to give back to making Earth, our common home, a better place to live. Each piece is specifically designed to promote mindfulness so one can see the world around them and be inspired by its beauty enough to take care of it.
From my heart to your walls, whether it’s forests, oceans, mountains, or cities, I hope you enjoy my works of art as much as I do creating them for you!
