I love wine and there is no better place better to take in wine tasting, vineyard hoping, great food and fabulous scenery, than Napa Valley California. Recently, while spending time in Napa Valley checking out some of the Valley’s most picturesque wineries, I came upon the beautiful William Hill Winery. Driving up towards Atlas Peak I eventually drove in through its gates, parked my car, grabbed my camera gear and then was awestruck by the spectacular view that lay in front of me. The William Hill Winery is located along the famed Silverado Bench. This estate winery produces Bordeaux varietals such as, Cabernet Sauvignon with soft tannins and intense, berry-like flavors, Merlot with lush fruit characteristics, as well as Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Their Carneros Chardonnay displays intense varietal flavors of apple, pear and tropical fruit, with crisp acidity.

This panorama image was taken by stitching together 6 images allowing me to achieve a true panorama with great detail. Lucky to have some unique varieties of clouds provided some intrigue in the sky, while the sun was peaking through the clouds and lighting up the vineyards in a patchwork fashion. The golden grasses, which are a hallmark of the Napa and Sonoma regions contrasts elegantly against the dark green of the vines. Wow, what a lovely sight. Once I completed my photo shoot, we tasted some of their wines and they are fantastic. Next time you visit Napa Valley, make sure you make the drive up to William Hill Winery, you’ll be glad you did.
