I'd been in Quebec City for a few days and braved the -16C (3 Degrees Fahrenheit ) cold to get this shot!
Quebec City is one of the oldest still-existing cities in North America. Established by the French in 1608, as the capital of their colony "New France", it is the only city in North America that still has defensive stone walls (and huge cannons) around the city core. It's like a European fairytale walking through this place and I was lucky enough to catch this gorgeous skyline on a clear (and freezing) late night in between the blizzards we've been having, where the entire city was lit up and visible!
I love the wisps of smoke coming from the chimneys and how it's rendered in this long exposure. Something I've never before caught on camera!
