Tropical Produce (Food) in Full Color
Tropical Produce Vegetable, pineapple, sugar cane, palm nut, cassava, watermelon, plantain, guava
About me...I have always been told that "I have an eye". However, as Ari Stippus once said, "Native ability without education is like a tree without fruit". I have extensive formal photography training and am blessed with a gift to share the beauty around me.
I was born in the United States of America while my parents were in school in Massachusetts. My grandmother traveled from Africa to get me when I was 6 months old. She took me back to Africa where she lived. I spent my young days in Africa and came to America to attend college.
Wow, for 3.5 years, I missed the wonderful, fresh produce of Liberia, West Africa. I missed the sweet juicy taste of sugar cane... the sweet juices spilling down my chin. I miss the sauce, palm butter, made from palm nut... it's red savory taste cooked with "all God's creatures"... totally yummy on a bed of rice. I miss the sweet fresh pineapple... yummy, juicy and sweet. I miss the Pawpaw which is really papaya. Oh the the plaintains... ripe and sweet or green(boiled). Hmmm I am hungry now. This image was taken at the home of the 24th president of Liberia, first female president, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
This is an image of food I grew up enjoying! Picture this beautiful image in a kitchen or dining room. It is just nostalgic!
Enjoy the view!
