Can a Wild Horse change someone’s life?

Well, they changed mine, I can tell you that. As a seasoned photographer specializing in portraits and headshots, my journey took an unexpected turn in 2020 during the Covid lockdown. My wife and I ventured out west from our home in Nashville, Tennessee, eager to photograph wildlife and landscapes that were outside my usual repertoire.

Upon arriving in Cody, Wyoming, we discovered McCullough Peaks, an expansive area of 120,000 acres home to approximately 140 wild horses. Intrigued by the challenge of finding and photographing these magnificent creatures, we adjusted our plans and set off on this new adventure.

The experience was transformative. We spent three days in McCullough Peaks, and from that moment on, we were hooked. Now, we return to the West multiple times a year, exploring the wild habitats of Utah, Idaho, Colorado, and Wyoming to capture these incredible animals through my lens.

Many people express a desire to see wild horses in their natural environment but are hindered by physical, financial, or geographical limitations. My mission is to bring the beauty and spirit of these wild horses to you through my photography.

These Wild Mustang Photos and Wild Horse Wall Art pieces are perfect for your home or office, serving as a reminder of the wild west and the majestic animals that still roam freely. Each photograph is a testament to the enduring spirit of these horses and a piece of nature you can cherish.

It was cold here in Tennessee, and all of the local horse owners had their horses safely in barns, some even with heat. It's not uncommon to see horses in the fields with blankets.

This is good. People should take care of and protect their animals. But when I checked the weather in McCullough Peaks WY, it was 20 degrees with 40 mile per hour wind gusts. Thats cold! I thought of those wild horses out in the dangerous elements with nothing but their skin and maybe some rock formations to hide behind. Hopefully, they adapt to the elements and keep going until things warm up in the spring.

This wild stallion seems completely unaffected by the coming storm, even with no shelter from the lightning or rain. Through the uncertainty, he just kept on with his day. Kept surviving.

Life can change for us instantly. The clouds and thunder can roll in unexpectedly. It can be frightening. But we have to keep going. Its ok to be afraid but never give up, as things will change just as the weather changes!
