Since I was a little girl, I have been fascinated with horses, and getting to actually see wild horses was long on my bucket list. Years ago on our first trip to Wyoming, we managed to see a scraggly herd near Rock Springs, but they did not look like the strong beautiful horses I had always imagined. This trip, we were blessed to find a large herd! At first I thought it was not going to happen. We spent 2 days driving for miles and hours looking. We were just about to give up. Then, WAY far away, we saw some specks that were moving. We found them! They were near a watering hole we had not seen before. We got just close enough to use a long zoom lens, and watched them play, fight, graze and roll around in the dust. Several of them stopped, standing in a line and watching two others fighting. It was late in the day, and the sun was peeking through the clouds behind them. It was so incredible! I captured the photo to save the moment and its view to share with you.
